Cloud infrastructure shaped around the business workload.
MediaRack plans, configures and supports cloud environments for websites, ecommerce, applications, email delivery and connected business systems—without making the business coordinate every technical dependency.
Moving to the cloud is not the outcome. Running the system well is.
Cloud infrastructure can improve flexibility, deployment choice and access to specialised services. It can also introduce fragmented billing, unclear security responsibilities and systems that grow without operational discipline.
MediaRack helps define what belongs in the cloud, what the workload requires and who will be responsible after launch. We can coordinate infrastructure, domains, DNS, SSL, email delivery, backups, migration and ongoing technical support as one operating layer.
The result may be a straightforward cloud server, a managed website environment or a combination of services. The architecture should remain proportionate to the business—not become complexity for its own sake.
The services around the infrastructure matter.
Cloud planning
Workload, location, resource, access, security, continuity and cost requirements translated into a practical starting architecture.
Cloud migration
Source assessment, destination preparation, data and application movement, testing and coordinated DNS transition.
Managed environments
Agreed monitoring, maintenance, backup oversight, performance review and technical support after deployment.
Application and website hosting
Cloud environments for compatible websites, ecommerce platforms, portals and business applications.
Cloud email delivery
Infrastructure and DNS support for transactional or bulk email services, including AWS SES where appropriate.
Backup and recovery
Recovery objectives, backup scope, schedules, retention and restoration responsibilities defined around business impact.
Use cloud capability where it solves a real constraint.
A business may benefit when its current environment limits control, deployment, integration or operational resilience.
- Applications need configurable compute or storage
- Workloads need an Australian or specific global location
- Traffic or processing demand changes materially over time
- Multiple services need clearer separation
- Email delivery needs dedicated infrastructure
- Existing systems require a planned migration
- Backup and recovery responsibilities are unclear
- The business needs an ongoing technical operator
Infrastructure
Compute, memory, storage, network and deployment location.
Platform
Operating system, control layer, web stack and compatible cloud services.
Application
Website, ecommerce, portal, integration or business workload.
Operations
Access, monitoring, maintenance, backup, security and support responsibility.
Design the operating model before moving the workload.
Discover
Document the workload, dependencies, current costs, risks, audience and business requirements.
Design
Confirm architecture, location, resources, access, migration, backup and management responsibilities.
Migrate
Prepare the environment, move and test compatible services, then coordinate the production transition.
Operate
Monitor, maintain, support and periodically review performance, capacity, risk and cost.

Cloud hosting questions.
What is managed cloud hosting?
Managed cloud hosting combines cloud infrastructure with agreed technical services such as configuration, migration, monitoring, maintenance, backup oversight and support. The exact responsibilities should be documented for each environment.
Does MediaRack provide Australian cloud hosting?
MediaRack can provide Australian deployment options and can also assess global locations where the audience, application or business requirements justify them.
What is the difference between cloud hosting and VPS hosting?
A VPS is an isolated virtual server with allocated resources. Cloud hosting is a broader term that may include virtual servers plus additional storage, networking, email, database or application services. The best model depends on the workload.
Can MediaRack help with AWS?
MediaRack can assist with appropriate AWS services, including cloud infrastructure and AWS SES email delivery. The scope depends on the application, account access, architecture and operational requirements; no formal partner status is implied.
Can MediaRack migrate our existing systems?
Yes. MediaRack can assess the source environment, dependencies and data, prepare a suitable destination, test the migration and coordinate the final transition. Compatibility and migration risk are confirmed before work begins.
Is cloud hosting automatically cheaper?
No. Cloud services can be flexible, but cost depends on resource use, data transfer, software, management and architecture. Cost should be monitored and reviewed rather than assumed to fall automatically.
Are backups automatic in the cloud?
Not necessarily. Infrastructure availability and backup are different concerns. The project should define what is backed up, the schedule, retention, storage location and who is responsible for testing or performing restoration.
Can we retain access and ownership?
Yes. Appropriate business ownership and administrative access can be retained while MediaRack performs an agreed management role. Account ownership, credentials and responsibilities should be documented.
Make the cloud environment understandable and operable.
Tell MediaRack what needs to run, where it is now and what the business expects from it. We will recommend a practical architecture and management scope.
